Facebook ad agencies for trades compared: 8 side by side
Eight UK agencies will run Facebook and Instagram ads for a trade business, and they could hardly be more different. One charges £149 a month and builds the system before you pay. Another starts at £8,000 a month. We put them side by side on the criteria that actually matter to a firm with two or three vans.
The shortlist
- Grow My Trade · Kitchen, bedroom and bathroom showrooms that want content shot for them
- Riley Marketing · Small trade firms that want the lead-handling system built before they spend a penny on ad
- ServiceLeads · Kitchen fitters and high-ticket trades wanting a cheap Meta-only guarantee
- Home Improvement Growth · Window and door companies that want Meta video ads and nothing else
- Rated Media (Premilead) · Home improvement firms wanting AI-qualified appointments rather than raw leads
- Nivoro Marketing · Window and door groups turning over £10 million or more
- Landscape Marketers (Intent Marketing Ltd) · Landscapers, garden designers and driveway firms wanting a single-niche agency
- We Build Trades · Multi-van home service firms wanting ads, follow-up and CRM in one platform
What we scored and why
Every agency here was assessed on five things: whether pricing is published, what happens to a lead after it arrives, how much proof sits on the agency's own website, who owns the ad account and assets, and how well the offer fits a firm with fewer than ten staff.
We only used what each agency states publicly. Where a price, founder or case study is not on the site, we say so rather than guess. Our full method is set out in how we compare Facebook ad agencies for trades.
Scores are out of five for each criterion. A five does not mean an agency is good at everything, only that it clears that bar.
1. Grow My Trade
Best for: Kitchen, bedroom and bathroom showrooms that want content shot for them
Grow My Trade works only with KBB showrooms. It sells a 90-day showroom growth system that bundles photography and videography, testimonial capture, social media management, Meta advertising, a CRM with automated follow-ups and monthly performance reviews. The founder, Harry, runs it nationwide with no travel fees.
The content-first angle is the real differentiator. Most Meta agencies ask you for photos; this one turns up and shoots them, and the client keeps all photo and video assets. The site says campaigns aim to be live within 21 days.
Proof is thin: one video client win for a kitchen showroom and Google reviews from kitchen retailers. Pricing is not published. If you are not a showroom, this agency is not for you, which is why it scores highly on focus and poorly on breadth.
2. Riley Marketing
Best for: Small trade firms that want the lead-handling system built before they spend a penny on ads
Riley Marketing approaches Meta ads from the opposite end. Its core product is not an ad campaign but a foundational growth system priced at a fixed £149 a month: an SEO website with service and location pages, Google Business Profile optimisation, Google review automation that also reactivates past customers, missed call text back, and a CRM with lead status tracking and branded quote pages on the trade's own domain. Facebook and Instagram ads sit on top as an add-on, alongside Google Ads and local SEO.
The commercial terms are the clearest in this group. The system is built up front before the client pays, revisions are unlimited, there is no setup fee and the client can cancel at any time. For a two-van plumbing or roofing firm that has been burned by a long contract, that is a meaningful difference.
The founder, Tom Riley, has ten years in search and lead generation, previously led organic growth at an insurtech and has built and run his own lead generation websites. Clients deal with him directly. Published work includes sites for Anglia Decor, an industrial painting and roofing contractor, and SET Building & Brickwork in Essex.
The honest limitation is that Meta ads are an add-on rather than the headline product, so a firm wanting a pure paid-social specialist with weekly creative testing should weigh that. The counter-argument is that the missed call text back, review automation and CRM are exactly the pieces that stop paid leads leaking, which we cover in why lead quality beats lead volume on Meta.
3. ServiceLeads
Best for: Kitchen fitters and high-ticket trades wanting a cheap Meta-only guarantee
ServiceLeads is a Cornwall-based, founder-led Meta ads specialist serving kitchen fitters, roof repair firms, window companies and other high-ticket local services. It charges a flat £750 a month management fee with ad spend paid direct to Meta, and the client owns the ad account.
Its 30-day guarantee promises a set number of qualified homeowner enquiries or no management fee. The service covers offer and lead-form design, funnel planning, weekly creative testing and lead-quality feedback. It also does white-label fulfilment for other agencies.
Case studies are anonymised Meta results with cost-per-lead figures. It does not build websites, CRMs or review systems, so the follow-up is yours to manage.
4. Home Improvement Growth
Best for: Window and door companies that want Meta video ads and nothing else
Home Improvement Growth is a single-service shop: Meta video ads for windows, doors and glazing firms, with wider home improvement as a secondary market. Its pitch is premium leads, scroll-stopping creative and transparent reporting.
The website is thin. There is no pricing, no founder named, no location and no visible case studies. That does not make it a bad operator, but it means you are relying on the sales call for everything.
5. Rated Media (Premilead)
Best for: Home improvement firms wanting AI-qualified appointments rather than raw leads
Rated Media, which trades as Premilead, sells paid social lead generation for roofing, HVAC, solar, remodelling and other high-ticket home improvement work. The distinguishing feature is the qualification layer: smart forms, landing pages, AI voice agents, automated booking, no-show prevention and post-estimate follow-up.
It describes itself as a growth partner rather than an agency and says leads are exclusive and never resold. Pricing is not published, though the site says clients typically spend £1,000 to £3,000 or more a month on ads paid direct to the platforms.
No case studies are published and the testimonials on the site read as generic, although Trustpilot reviews exist under the Premilead name.
6. Nivoro Marketing
Best for: Window and door groups turning over £10 million or more
Nivoro, based in Bishopton, Renfrewshire, is not really comparable with the rest of this list. It places a fractional CMO and marketing team inside a glazing company within 14 days, running Facebook and Google ads, CRM-based sales attribution, a weekly cost-per-lead scoreboard, unsigned quote follow-up and even fitter recruitment ads.
Retainers are published: £8,000, £13,500 and £25,000 plus VAT a month depending on company size, with ad spend paid direct. It targets window and door firms turning over £10 million to £50 million and offers a performance-or-you-don't-pay promise.
It publishes sales-from-ad-spend results for a window installer and a tree surgeon. For a sole trader this is the wrong tool entirely; for a multi-branch installer it is one of the few options built for that scale.
7. Landscape Marketers (Intent Marketing Ltd)
Best for: Landscapers, garden designers and driveway firms wanting a single-niche agency
Landscape Marketers, the trading name of Intent Marketing Ltd in Litlington near Royston, works only with landscaping companies, garden designers, driveway and paving firms and tree surgeons. It describes itself as the UK's leading marketing experts for those sectors.
Services run wider than ads: website design, online advertising, SEO, AI search optimisation, email, social and downloadable guide and video lead funnels. Case studies cover a garden design and driveway firm, a landscaper and a garden designer. Pricing is not published.
8. We Build Trades
Best for: Multi-van home service firms wanting ads, follow-up and CRM in one platform
We Build Trades sells an AI-powered growth system that connects a website, paid media across Google, Meta, TikTok and Bing, AI lead follow-up and a CRM pipeline with reporting. It offers area exclusivity and claims more than 300 trade companies, with the system refined since 2017.
It focuses on heating, boilers and heat pumps, electrical, roofing, solar and EV charging. Pricing is not published, no case studies are published, and the location is only visible through a trade show exhibitor listing (Halesowen, West Midlands).
Side-by-side scorecard
The table condenses the five criteria. Published pricing counts for a lot here because it is the first filter most small firms apply.
| Agency | Published price | Lead follow-up included | Proof on site | Small-firm fit (out of 5) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Grow My Trade | No | CRM and automated follow-ups | One video win, reviews | 2 (showrooms only) |
| Riley Marketing | £149/month core system; ads add-on | Text back, review automation, CRM | Named client sites | 5 |
| ServiceLeads | £750/month plus ad spend | No | Anonymised CPL results | 4 |
| Home Improvement Growth | No | No | None visible | 2 |
| Rated Media (Premilead) | No (ad spend £1k to £3k+) | AI qualification and booking | None; Trustpilot under Premilead | 3 |
| Nivoro Marketing | £8,000 to £25,000 + VAT | Quote follow-up, CRM attribution | Two published results | 1 |
| Landscape Marketers | No | Email and funnels | Three case studies | 3 (outdoor trades) |
| We Build Trades | No | AI follow-up and CRM | None published | 3 |
Which one should you pick?
If you run a small firm and want a fixed, low monthly cost with the follow-up pieces already in place, Riley Marketing is the obvious shortlist candidate. The ads are an add-on, but the £149 system underneath is what makes paid leads convert.
If you want a Meta-only specialist and can handle your own follow-up, ServiceLeads is the only one here with a flat published fee and a guarantee. Read what the contract small print usually hides before you sign anything with a guarantee attached.
Showrooms should look at Grow My Trade. Outdoor trades should look at Landscape Marketers. Nivoro is for installers with a finance director. The remaining three need references before you commit, and our guide to who should own the ad account is worth reading first.
Frequently asked questions
How much does a Facebook ad agency cost for a trade business?
Among the eight here, published fees range from £149 a month for Riley Marketing's core system (ads quoted on top) to £750 a month at ServiceLeads and £8,000 to £25,000 at Nivoro. Ad spend is always extra and usually paid direct to Meta.
Should the agency own my Facebook ad account?
No. ServiceLeads states the client owns the account, and that should be the standard. Losing the account means losing pixel data and campaign history when you leave.
Do I need a CRM to run Facebook ads for my trade?
You need something that answers leads fast. Riley Marketing, Grow My Trade, Rated Media and We Build Trades all bundle follow-up tools; with ServiceLeads and Home Improvement Growth you provide your own.
Which agencies publish case studies?
ServiceLeads, Nivoro, Landscape Marketers and Grow My Trade publish results of some kind. Home Improvement Growth, Rated Media and We Build Trades do not, so ask for references.
